TWO SIBLINGS ARRESTED OVER ALLEGE ROBBERY, MURDER

The Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu while parading the suspects said that the suspected criminals were specialized in robbing people of their motorcycles and in some cases killed their innocent victims in the process.

Penpushing further reports that, Olukolu confirmed that the suspects were arrested following a report by one Abideen Oladapo to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) office in Dugbe on  October 102019, that his son who was a commercial motorcyclist was attacked by unknown hoodlums while carry out his lawful duty within Ibadan.

“As the incident was reported, a team of SARS Operatives swung into action and after discreet investigations, on 11/10/2019, three suspects who later identified themselves as Yakubu Suara (m), Job Ogbile (m), and Lateef Suara (m), were arrested in connection with the crime in their respective hideouts in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States.

“Subsquently Azeez Lateef and Ridwan Suliaman were later arrested as a member of the syndicate who has been jointly carried out series of criminals activities within Ibadan metropolis”, the Commissioner stated

Penpushing further reports that the Police boss while speaking on how the deceased was murdered by the gang, said that in the course of dragging with one of the hoodlums not to go away with his bike, the innocent victim Oladapo Toheeb was smashed with a wooden object with the assistance of the others and dispossessed him of his Bajaj Motorcycle, while leaving him in his pool of blood’.

“The victim was left after the attack, and his remains have been found, and they all have confessed to the crime and also confessed to the series of criminal activities within Ibadan metropolis’,the Commissioner added.

Penpushing also reports that,  one of the suspects, Yakubu Suara, who was the leader of the gang said that he has been into the bike snatching and stealing since early 2018 and he confirmed that the late Oladapo was actually killed by Job his friends.

He said ” I started stealing of bikes since 2018 when I was duped by an unknown person of the sum of N400, 000, I was told that I will be traveling to Dubai for hustling but later I discovered that it was all a lie and that I have been duped and left with nothing, so I decided to start the bike snatching business.

“Am the ring leader, my younger brother here is also part of our team, I usually asked Azeez Lateef to pretend as if he was a passenger, he was the one that will bring the bike man and his bike to us and in the process, we will overpowered the owner and took the bike from them, we use to sell the bike at time Seventy, Sixty, even Fifty thousand naira, and as the leader of the gang I use to take the largest share.

“Am not the one that killed the late Oladapo Toheeb who was robbed, after we have successfully collected the bike from him, the deceased refuse to let go of Job as he was dragging with him, in the process Job had to hit him with this plank on the forehead and immediately he fellfell, we all ran away with the bike, though I ran out of town to Lagos but I was later arrested by the Police in our area in Ido local government of the State.

Penpushing also reports that Yakubu Suara, the alleged killer of the deceased however denied of killing their suspect, saying that “we don’t use to kill our suspects, this one we killed is out of mistake by my friend Job and not even me.”

Items recovered from the suspects were one Cutlass, One wooden Object, a pair of slippers belonging to the victim, his robbed Bajaj Motorcycle with registration number LDY 784 UJ.
