Tunde Lemo donates N5million to Lagos, Ogun states for fight against coronavirus

Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy-Governor, Tunde Lemo has donated the sum of N2.5million each to both Lagos and Ogun State Governments towards fight against the ravaging coronavirus.

Penpushing reports that,  Lemo made this known in a statement by his Communication Adviser, Eddy Ademosu, adding that the banking expert had initially provided palliatives for residents of some communities in the two states.

The statement explained that beneficiaries of the palliatives include residents of Awoyaya community in Ibeju-Lekki Local government Area of Lagos State and, Orile-Imo community in Obafemi-Owode Local government area of Ogun State

Penpushing further reports that, the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank (CBN) called on well meaning Nigerians to do more in providing support for the citizens, especially the teeming poor and vulnerable groups.

The banking guru in similar vein, through his foundation, ‘Lend a helping hand’, is sponsoring 57 youths registered in three vocational training centres in Lagos and Ogun State with financial outlay of over N15Million.

Penpushing also reports that, the beneficiaries mainly youths were staggered across the three vocational training centres which are; Peter Akinola Foundation in Abeokuta, Automedics and Etiwa Tech in Lagos State

Meanwhile, Ademosun explained that  the foundation, the youth empowerment programme which runs between 2020 to 2024 has capacity to train more Nigerians interested in the vocational trainings.
