Trump phones Buhari to discuss ravaging coronavirus

The American President, Donald Trump on Tuesday phoned President Muhammadu Buhari to commiserate with him and vice versa on the ravaging coronavirus affecting the two countries among other nations across the globe.

Penpushing reports that, the two leaders also shared ideas on how to successfully combat the coronavirus pandemic, realizing the associated negative impacts of the pandemic on the world’s economy .

The statement by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, said the Nigerian President lauded Trump for the various initiatives adopted by his government to contain the further spread of the virus across the United States of America.

Penpushing further reports that, Buhari expressed appreciation to his United States of America counterpart for  the valuable friendship on reaching out to him at this time, and  indicated Nigeria’s readiness to cooperate with the United States to fight the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, President Buhari informed that Nigeria had taken a number of proactive measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus across the country.
