
Traditional rulers, stakeholders in Benue state declare support for second term of Governor Alia
The traditional rulers and other stakeholders in Benue State have declared support for second term of Governor Hyacinth Aliu ahead of 2027 governorship race insisting that he deserve to be re-elected.
Penpushing reports that the traditional ruler led by Tor Jechira , Edward Ujege made the declaration on Friday at a town hall meeting held within the premises of government house, Markudi, the state capital.
The other groups and stakeholders which also clamour for second term for Alia include Nigeria SLabour Congress (NLC) led by state Vice Chairman Emauvia Nnyianslicker , Secretary of Trade Union Congress(TUC), Comrade Omafa Alysins, Chairman Joint Negotiation Council (JNC), Leader of Women Association, Ocholongua Abu and Chairman N/Benue branch of Benue Motorcle Association(BEMOA) Comrade Sunday Orshio among others

Penpushing further reports that at the meeting attended by members of the Nigeria Guld of Editors (NGE), led by the President Eze Anaba and Special Adviser to President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga , the stakeholders in unison praised the performances of the Governor, which they said qualified him to be return for second term.
The Chairman of the Benue Motorcycle Association (BEMOA) openly declared at the well-attended meeting that the association was ready to purchase ticket for the governor to enable him contest the forthcoming election in the state.
Penpushing also reports that the traditional rulers on their part emphasized that Alia is doing well, describing him as a performing Governor, who the traditional council is proud of, and called for support for his second term ambition
‘Governor Alia is doing well and we are proud of him. He is making us proud, and we must appreciate him. We traditional rulers reside with the grassroot people and aware how much they love and appreciate him. Let us give him maximum support’, Ujege stated

Penpushing reports that in her remarks, the women association leader, assured the Governor of maximum and genuine support from women towards second term return, telling him to ignore mischefmakers in politics ahead of the poll
The Chairman of Joint Negotiation Council (NJC) in his submission at the meeting pointed out that Alia is a God sent governor, who deserves support to continue his good work in second term.
Penpushing further reports that he stated that under his administration he has never derail in regular and prompt payment of workers salaries, adding that he remains Nigerian Governor who is not owing pensioners.
‘The Governor is a gift to the state. We never struggle to see him. Civil servants love him and want him for second term. Many civil servants have benefited capacity building training, the latest being digital training’, he emphasized

Penpushing also reports that the Governor in his speech assured the citizens of not relenting in efforts towards improving on their wellbeing, in all aspects of governance, and thanked them for confidence they have on him.
The Governor enumerated number of his achievements, stressing that he would continue capacity building for the youths, and ensured that things are done well in the interest of the populace.
Penpushing reports that Alia thanked President Bola Tinubu for providing adequate security as support when Benue state was facing security challenges, expressing joy that as at now, the state is gradually enjoying peace
‘I want to thank and appreciate our President. Abnormality must no be normal. Our President has always been there for us. Tinubu is not just a father, but a real father. I am grateful to him. We would not disappoint him’, he stated

The Governor used the opportunity to appeal to the media executives on need to stand up against the misuse of social media by some elements, whose action is turning falsehood to reality most times.
