Three killed, 17 injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway crash

Three persons were on Wednesday killed and seventeen others injured around Sandcrete in a road crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, an accident which involved 20 persons comprising six male adults and fourteen female adults.

Penpushing reports that, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ahmed Umar confirmed the incident explaining that, the vehicle involved was a ford bus with registration number GGE 584 Y

‘A total of 17 persons were injured ( 05 male adult and 12 female adult) Unfortunately 03 death were recorded from the crash.( 01 Male adult and 02 female adult)  01 vehicle was involved with registration number  GGE584Y FORD   BUS’, he said

Penpushing further reports that, the sector commander said the suspected causes of the lone crash were tyre bust, excessive speed and loss of control, explaining that the  injured victims  were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere  while bodies of the killed  were deposited at FOS Ipara.

The Sector Commander, however, cautioned motorists on speed violation and advise  them to always check their tyres to know the expiration date, and also commiserated with the family of the crash victims and enjoined them to contact corps office at Ogunmakin for more information about the crash.
