Super Television boss, Usifo Ataga buried in Lagos

The Super Television (TV) boss, Micheal Usifo Ataga who was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend,  Chidinmma Ojukwu, a mass communication  undergraduate of University of Lagos(UNILAG) has been buried

Penpushing reports that the deceased family and friends earlier held service of song in his honour on Thursday and was buried in a private ceremony on Friday at the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi, Lagos State

The officiating Priest, Pastor Julius Olaitan in his message at the funeral service held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Victoria Island, Lagos State described the late Usifo as an achiever.

Penpushing further reports that, the clergyman called the police to find those responsible for Usifo untimely demise, noting that the deceased was a man with enemies, adding that his manner of death was a testimony to that.

“He was a man with enemies; his manner of death is a testimony to that. It is a duty for those in authority to do the right thing by finding those who brutally murdered him. Who can imagine what Usifo went through in the hands of those who tortured him?’, he emphasised

‘We should be mindful of what we say on social media. Please spare the family of the good name. Our common humanity demands that from us. Justice is having Usifo alive since he has the right to live. His children cannot call him daddy and get a response. Death is a terrifying mystery. We’ve not lost him, but we’ve gained a soul in heaven. Usifo is now in a place where he can be with the reward of his earthly sojourn’

Penpushing reports that, it is recalled that Ataga, who went missing for a couple of days, was found murdered in a Short let apartment on 19, Adewale Oshin street, Lekki, Lagos, on June 15, and days after a prime suspect. , Chidinmma Ojukwu was arrested by the police

The suspect while being paraded confessed to the crime, and following further investigation, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, Hakeem Odumosu disclosed that more suspects had been arrested in connection with the killing.

Penpushing also reports that,, the deceased’s eldest brother,Isi Ataga in his vote of thanks, thanked the church for standing with the family through the difficult moment, but as at the time of filing this report family of the deceased is yet to speak about the outcome of the ongoing investigation into the death
