Soyinka greets Alake of Egbaland on 82nd birthday

The Convener of the United Premier Movement (UPM), Hon. Chief Olalekan Shoyinka, has congratulated Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo on his 82nd birthday.

Penpushing reports that Shoyinka popularly called Ayinla Egba in the congratulatory letter commended the monarch for his visionary and inclusive leadership, describing him as a father of peace, unity, and development.

The Gbadegesin Ijemo, Egbaland, in a goodwill message made available to Penpushing Media  on Sunday pointed out that the first-class traditional ruler’s reign has brought Egbaland to enviable heights

“Under Kabiyesi’s distinguished reign, Egbaland has witnessed significant infrastructural upgrades, educational advancement, and economic growth, while harmony among Egba sons and daughters has been preserved through his consistent preaching of peace and unity’, he said.

Penpushing further reports that Shoyinka in the message prayed for God’s abundant blessings, good health, and many more fruitful years for the monarch, stressing that the sacred crown of Egbaland will remain firmly on the monarch’s head

The ijemo chief noted that the monarch’s dedication to cultural preservation and the socio-economic development of Egbaland serves as an inspiration to traditional rulers across the country.

‘The United Premier Movement Convener, on behalf of his family, associates, and supporters, congratulated the Alake on reaching this remarkable milestone, urging all Egba sons and daughters to rally behind the royal father in sustaining the unity and growth of Egbaland’, the statement reads.
