So-safe corps arrests rape suspect in ogun state
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, So-Safe Corps, has nabbed a suspected rapist in Ifo, located in Ifo local government area of Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that Commander of the Corps, Dr. Soji Ganzallo disclosed in a statement made available to journalists by Director of Information and Public Relations of the agency Adegunwa Adegbuyi
The statement explained that on October 27, 2025, the surveillance team, Oke-Paata Division of the Corps, led by the Divisional Officer, SC Ikusegbagbe Abayomi, while on a special patrol along Ososun town at about 12 noon, noticed the suspect.
Penpushing further reports that the 45-year-old suspect Diya Agboola, and her 30 years old victim (name withheld) were arguing as they were coming out of an uncompleted building, stressing that this confrontation drew the attention of the team and immediately intervened.
The statement said in confession during preliminary interrogation, the suspect, who resides at Ilupeju Elepo, Oja, Lagos State, came to visit his friend at Agbejise, Ososun, admitted to raping the victim.
Penpushing also reports that the agency stated that in order to ascertain this confession, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for necessary check where it was affirmed that the crime was indeed committed.
The Commander stated that, both the suspect and victim have been handed over to the Ifo Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and likely prosecution.
