
So-Safe Corps apprehends rail track thief
A suspect Ismaila Mustapha has been arrested by the operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps for allegedly stealing railway track steel in Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that the Commander of the Corps, Dr Soji Ganzallo made this known in a statement on Sunday, said on November 1, 2025 at about 5:20am, a team of officers on surveillance, led by the Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling, Abdulkareem Abdulrazak, sighted the suspect.
The statement made available by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the agency, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi said the 21-year-old suspect was caught at the point of selling the items to scrap dealers in Ayedun quarters beside ram market, Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government of the State.

Penpushing further reports that that the command added that the suspect, who is a bricklayer was sighted on motorcycle at the point of arrest, and on sighting the operatives’ officers, he bolted with his bike.
The statement explained that after host chase the suspect was apprehended adding that in the course of preliminary investigation, he confessed to have stolen the five-railway track steel and one bundle of binding wires from Ogunbambi Adigun’s workshop, Kanisuru, Idiroko town.
Penpushing also reports that the statement said the suspect and exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
