ROBBERS ATTACK DEPUTY GOVERNOR’S CONVOY, KILL THREE POLICEMEN, CIVILIAN

The  Police Command Public Relations Officer ,Usman Samaila, who confirmed the incident   in Lafia however, did not give details as at the time of filing this reports, saying the Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe had led a team of officers to the scene to assess the situation.

Hear him, ‘As I speak with you now, the Commissioner of Police, the Deputy Commissioner Operations and other high ranking officers of the command have gone to the scene of the incident”

Penpushing further reports that a member of the convoy who escaped the bandits shot said the armed robbers opened fire on the convoy before fleeing the scene, adding that three policemen and a driver were shot and killed by the armed robbers.

The convoy member said the corpses have been deposited at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia, adding that the Deputy Governor was unhurt but looked shaky, and was at the hospital but decline speaking to journalists on the incident.
