POLICE PARADES THREE OVER KILLING OF OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY STUDENT
The Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makam while parading the suspects at the Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, said the trio forcefully abducted the 24-years old victim alongside two others whom they suspected to be members of an unidentified secret cult group.
Penpushing further reports that, the police boss explained that the suspects, later released the two others, leaving the 24 years old Obisanwo at their custody, after he was allegedly murdered.
The Commissioner said the suspects would soon be charged to court after concluding investigations, adding that the police was on the trail of three other accomplices who were simply identify as “Lonlo”, “Agbena” and Obanikoro.
Speaking with one of the suspects, Salisu Hakeem, said his group was only hired by the community to help in flushing out cultists in the town, and they invaded an hotel where the suspected cultists were billed to celebrate their annual festival in Ijebu – Igbo.
Penpushing further reports that the 55-year old Hakeem, who also claimed to be a member of the Ogun State-owned Special Security outfit christened “So-SAFE”, confirmed that the abducted student may have been killed since the trio of Lonlo, Agbena and Obanikoro who were ordered to hand the suspect over to the police have since disappeared.
