Police arrest landlord over alleged maltreatment of tenant”s 11 year old twins

A 65- year-old landlord, Samuel Adekoya, has been arrested by the police in Ijebu-Ode town of Ogun State for allegedly maltreating twin brothers said to be children of his tenant.
Penpushing reports that, the landlord in a video which served as evidence of his brutality was seen physically molesting the twins, tied them and rained beating on them, having accused them of defecating in the compound.
The twins  Taiwo Enoch Olishe and Kehinde Emmanuel Olishe were seen crying profusely following the maltreatment, as the landlord was also sighted kicking the children round the compound, before beating them with cable wire
Penpushing further reports that the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the incident said the suspect was arrested following a complain lodged at Ijebu Ode area command by the twins’ mother Gbenisola Olishe, who reported that, while she was away on her business, she received a phone call from a good Samaritan informing her that her landlord was seen tied her twins hands and legs like goat and dragging them on the floor with the rope after beaten them with cable wire.
“The suspect was also video recording the cruel act while carrying it out. She stated further that the twins sustained varying degrees of body injuries as a result of the wicked act melted on them by the landlord”, Oyeyemi added.

Penpushing also reports that the police spokesman said upon the report, the Area Commander Ijebu Ode, ACP Adeniyi Omosanyin, detailed some policemen to the scene where the two boys who were met tying down on both legs and hands were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment, while the landlord was subsequently arrested
The Command added that on interrogation, the suspect explained to the police that he was informed that one of the twins excreted within the compound despite his warning that the compound must be be kept clean always,stressing that when asked to take policemen to where the excreta is, he said the boy has already washed it.
Penpushing reports that, Oyeyemi disclosed that as at the time of filing this report,one of the twins is currently on admission at Ijebu Ode General Hospital due to injury he sustained while he was being dragged on ground by the suspect.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has ordered that the case be thoroughly investigated, and that the suspect must be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
