Penpushing member, Kehinde Onasanya appointed Permanent Secretary in Ogun state

A notable member of Penpushing platform, Kehinde Onasanya has been appointed Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil Service, alongside five others, appointment said to be based on merit, professionalism and diversity.

Penpushing reports that, Onasanya’s appointment with others was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Ogun State Governor, Kunle Somorin stating that other Permanent Secretaries are: Olukayode Ogunleye, Moses Adebayo, Engr. Lateef Yusuf, Johnson Odeyemi and Mrs. Olusola Osasona.

The statement stated that the appointments approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun  were made in line with the desire of the Government to fill the existing vacancies among the rank of permanent secretaries in the State Public Service.

“Seniority, merit, professionalism and diversity are considered in the appointment of the six permanent secretaries and done in the exercise of the provision of Section 208 (c) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended),” the statement said.

Penpushing further reports that, the new Permanent Secretaries were immediately deployed  to the following Ministries and Agencies; Kehinde Onasanya – Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs;  Engr Lateef Yusuf, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure;  Mrs Olusola Osasona, Ministry of Transportation; Mr Johnson Odeyemi, Teaching Service Commission; Mr Moses Adebayo, Bureau of Protocols and Ceremonials and Mr Olukayode Ogunleye, Bureau of Service Matters

The statement added that, the Permanent Secretaries until their appointments were senior officers in their respective ministries, agencies and parastatals, while in the same vein, some serving Permanent Secretaries were redeployed to new Ministries, Agencies and Commissions.

They include:  Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, from the Bureau of Service Matters to Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Mrs Titilayo Dosunmu moves from Teaching Service Commission to Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission; Engr Jonathan Onajobi to Ministry of Culture and Tourism from the House of Assembly; Dr (Mrs) Oluranti Oladeinde redeployed from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to the Bureau of Government House and General Services.

Penpushing also reports that, other affected are; Mrs Melutia Ogunremi moved from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and Mr Olurotimi Sotubo from the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs to the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

The Governor Abiodun also congratulated the new appointees, while urging them to brace up for the challenges of their positions and apply themselves to the “Building Our Future Together Agenda” of the administration.
