Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo receives coronavirus vaccine
The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and his wife Olori Yetunde Gbadebo on Sunday received coronavirus vaccines, describing the injection as painless and also encouraged Nigerians to immunize themselves against the deadly virus.
Penpushing reports that, the Ogun State Commissioner of Health, Dr Tommy Coker led the medical team to the Alake Palace in Abeokuta, to give the injection to the household of the monarch, which include his chiefs.
The Commissioner administered the injection on the traditional rulers, his wife and other chiefs in the palace, and equally used the opportunity in emphasisng on need for residents to play safe in following strict compliance of the coronavirus protocols and guidelines.
‘The vaccine is painless. I didn’t know anything enter my body. I want to encourage Nigerians to take time to take the injection. I can tell the world now that I am fit. Nobody should ignore the injection. I want to also encourage everybody on need to wear facemasks, keep social distance. I am optimistic that Covid-19 will soon dissapear’, Gbadebo stated.
Penpushing further reports that, Olori on her part also admitted that the injection was painless and called on mothers to take the advantage of the vaccines, and should also encourage their children to take the injection.
The Olori said, this is important and no mother should be left behind or discourage their children from having the vaccines, stressing that, having the vaccines is for the benefits of all households, hence, need to make use of the opportunity.
