OYO AGGRIEVED GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANTS OF AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS GIVES CONDITION TO WITHDRAW SUIT AGAINST PARTY

The statement explained further that, the National Chairman of Africa Democratic Congress(ADC), Chief Ralph Nwosu had met with the aggrieved aspirants to find a lasting solution to the crisis rocking the party in the State after the declaration of Senator Olufemi Lalenyin as the Governorship candidate of the party.

‘At the reconciliation meeting, which had 10 of the governorship candidates in attendance, the Chairman assured the Aspirants that they were critical stakeholders in the mission to take over the Oyo State Government House’, the statement said.

The Chairman reiterated the commitment of the party to building a model sustainable political structure  and enjoined the Governorship aspirants to let peace reign and forget whatever might have been seen as omission on the part of the party.

He thanked them for their unflinching loyalty to the party, which he said had been credibly demonstrated through the shared ideas and their conviction that the party will win the 2019 election in Oyo State.

Penpushing also reports that, all the aspirants assured the National Working Committee (NWC) that African Democratic Congress (ADC) was the party to beat in Oyo State, noting that they would work together in support of the party to ensure the party wins the next elections.

They called on the party leaders, especially the National Working Committee (NWC) to empower the State Working Committee (SWC) and address the concerns of aggrieved members.

Penpushing reports that, the 10 aspirants said that as much as they welcome the role of elders in the party, it might be counter-productive if such elders usurp the functions of the State Exco, assuring to withdraw any court case that any of them or they as a group might have instituted once their concerns were well addressed.

The National Chairman was accompanied by the National Publicity Secretary of party, Mrs. Yemi Kolapo, (Zonal Chairman, South West), Dr. Dele Ajadi, and key members of the Oyo State Working Committee, State Chairman Alhaji Dr. Ahmed A. Ayinla, Deputy State Chairman Rev. Adeniran and Comrade Adedapo Ademola the State Publicity Secretary.
