OLD STUDENTS DEMAND FOR OVERHAUL OF FORMER COLLEGE OVER SEXUAL ABUSE

“We also call on the African Union, United Nations, and International human rights bodies to look into the exploitation of the funding foreign bodies who may have accrued funds with out stories and did not deliver same to the right course”,he said

“The press conference is our only avenue to voice our concern, seek for justice and continuity of the Stephens Children Home / School in a manner that will provide sanity and true productivity. We have no strength or any ability to confront the director in anyway’, he added

“Therefore, we seek for the active involvement of the civil rights society organisation and relevant government authorities to come to our aid”.

While further narrating their ordeal, two female old students of the school, Mary Jones and Deborah Bala insisted that government should take up the matter.

In her own narration, Bala  alleged that the director sexually assault her at the age of 13 years when she was in JSS 2, adding  that whenever she was with the Director, she would be unconscious until the deeds were done, alleging that the Director always drugged her and kiss her as well as having canal knowledge of her.

Similarly, Jones in her contribution said as student the Director molested her because she refused being sexually assault by him.

When contacted on phone, the Director, Newton-Wusu described the allegation as plans to remove him as the Director of the home.” They are sponsored and it is a plan to remove me as the Director of the home. I can’t comment further’, he stated.

Meanwhile, present at the conference were members of Child Protection Network, CPN, Ogun State Chapter
