OGUN SWEARS IN 30 CUSTOMARY COURT PRESIDENTS

 “They have gone through series of tests and have been found worthy, I pray that God in His infinite mercy will grant them the grace and strength to discharge their duties according to their oath of office”, Dipeolu stated.

The Chief Judge said that, in actualization of the State’s agenda to decongest the prisons, the Intervention Week would commence at Sagamu Magisterial District.

 “This Intervention Week is borne out of the desire to fast-track cases and dispose them speedily. The idea is that the Magistrates will sit longer than usual, to dispose all old and new cases in their docket during that week”, Dipeolu explained.

The Chief Judge urged the new appointees not to forget the motto of Ogun State Judiciary, which is, “hardwork and Result”, in the discharge of their duties, saying, “the price of success is hardwork, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand”‎.

 Penpushing further reports that,she admonished them to shun corruption, laziness and favouritism and embrace transparency, as well as uphold the oath of office and dispense justice without fear or favour, as any unethical acts would not be condoned.
