Ogun State Police Command foil midnight armed robbery attempt

The Ogun State Police Command on Wednesday night foiled attempt by gang of armed robbers to attack and raid residents of Ikopa-Titun community in Oke-Ibukun axis of Asero, Abeokuta,  the Ogun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that, the armed robbers arrived the community at about 10pm to launch attack, but the swift response of the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, following a distress call put across to him, safe the situation.

The residents who were jittery in their various homes, as a result of the presence of the armed bandits, became relieved following immediate order issued by the Commissioner of Police for his men to race to the community to save lives and properties.

Penpushing further reports within a twinkle, the officers of Divisional Police Headquarters in Obantoko led by a Divisional Police Officer, Sunday Opebiyi led the team to the community to chase out the suspected criminals.

The armed robbers on sighting the presence of the police team, took to their heels, hence, a relief came for the residents, with the community vigilante joining the police to conduct search round the community.

Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the police team resolved to engage in a proactive patrol round the community, to ensure adequate security for the community and the thousands of residents
