OGUN GOVERNMENT SPENDS OVER N9 BILLION ON ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN THREE MONTHS

The Permanent Secretary listed the 31 roads to include Sagamu-Benin Express Junction/Oba Erinwole Junction Road which was at 95% nearly completion, Ilo-Awela road at 75%, OGTV-Brewery standing at 75%, Erinjin-Oluwalogbon at 90%, Ojere Adatan road at 86%, Abule Ekun River bridge at 90%,  flyover bridge at Lusada bridge junction at 60% as well as pedestrian bridges at Mowe, Ibafo and Panseke at 90% amongst others.

Penpushing further reports that, Ademolake added that Moshood Abiola way, Moraimo-Olorombo road, Abiola way junction- Muda Lawal stadium, Flyover bridges at Lagos Garage, Mobalufon, Obada Market, Ijebu-Igbo, Iyana Mortuary as well as Bridge over Yakoyo river were being completed towards reducing vehicle maintenance costs and road carnage.

The Permanent Secretary while rolling out the budget performance of the Ministry in the period under review, stated that the Ministry raked in a total revenue of N312.5m representing 208.40% increment of its actually target from contractor registration fees, fire safety certificate fees, inspection fees, telecoms/Infrastructural services as well as Vehicle inspection penal fees, adding that the construction of additional secretariat building (Block E) ongoing within the State Secretariat.

Penpushing also reports that, he  said the Ministry equally established a material testing laboratory through Public Private Partnership agreement and constructed befitting modern markets, residential buildings and shops in line with the urban renewal programme of the  Amosun led -administration, having reallocated rooms and shops to affected traders and displaced people.

In a similar development, the Office of the Head of Service, Bureaux of State Pensions, Establishments and Training as well as Electrical Engineering Services (BEES) and the Civil Service Commission presented their 2019 budget performance.

 Other agencies that had their budgets performance appraised are the State Ministries of Justice, Environment, the State Environment Protection Agency, (OGEPA) and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) among others.
