ODOGBOLU COMMUNITY SETS FOR HERITAGE FESTIVAL

The Vice President, who is also Chairman, Odogbolu Heritage Festival, stated that it is part of their agenda to transform the heritage, since they are the custodians of the Agemo festival and reiterated the importance of celebrating the Festival, adding that it is the best way to transform the heritage since they are the custodians of Agemo Festivals.

“Odogbolu is a town that had produced prominent Nigerians, and since we have known whether we have done over the years, we believe it is time to celebrate the Odogbolu Heritage” he said, adding that the Community is planning to have a partnership with the Ogun State Government, in order to assist with developmental projects challenges in the town.

“And as a result, we are planning to go into partnership with the State Government, in order to help with developmental objectives, since we are facing developmental challenges in our town as it is often say that “money is the wheel of evangelism”, he stressed.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alhaja Selimot Ottun, in her remarks also urged the people not to despise the days of the little beginning, stressing, “we should not despise the days of the little beginning, because the “Ojude Day Oba and Lisabi Day” also started like this, and that is why we still hear of them till today..

Penpushing further reports that, Ottun, who represented by Mrs. FB Ilori, added, said, “but when I get back to my boss, I will deliver everything to her and because I cannot speak all on her behalf, I will promise you that we will definitely be present at the grand-finale of the festival” she said.

The Odogbolu Youth Association Youth Secretary, Comrade Gbenro Fadipe, while speaking also stressed the various activities that will come up during the festival, adding that the Odogbolu Youth Carnival is made known throughout the town through the patron, Dr. Babatunde Diya.

Penpushing also reports that, Fadipe, said that there will be different games for everyone to play and they should just register with ₦500, while the gifts are; Plasma TV, and the First, Second and Third will go home with ₦50,000, ₦30,000 and ₦20,000 respectively.
