Nigerian iconic photographer, Born Photo for burial December 31
The late Nigerian ace photographer, Pa David Owolabi Ositelu popularly called ‘Born Photo’, will be buried on Friday, December 31st, 2021 in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital
Penpushing reports that, Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Lekan Alabi made this known explaining that, this was the decision of the deceased family after a meeting held at the Akobo home of Alabi in Ibadan
The Ibadan High Chief said the meeting had in attendance three of the late Pa Ositelu’s four children, and they include: Ms Bolanle Ositelu,Mr Oluwaseye Ositelu and Mr Oluwafemi Ositelu.
‘Preliminary talks on the burial arrangements of the late Ibadan-based iconic photographer, Pa David Owolabi Ositelu, better known and called “Born Photo”, started at a meeting held in the home of Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi, Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, at Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria’, he stated.
‘Present at the meeting were three of the late Pa Ositelu’s four children. They were Ms Bolanle Ositelu,Mr Oluwaseye Ositelu and Mr Oluwafemi Ositelu. Resolutions taken included arranging a befitting funeral service at the Methodist Church,Cathedral Agbeni and burial of the late doyen of photography, on Friday,31st December,2021,in Ibadan,Oyo State’.Alabi said
Penpushing further reports that, Alabi disclosed that a condolence register will be opened on Monday, 27th December, 2021, at the Born Photo studio, Isale Osi, Ibadan, while it is recalled that Ositelu ,died peacefully while taking a nap in his studio on Christmas eve and was aged 86 years
