Nigerian government imposes midnight curfew

Nigerian Government has imposed a nationwide curfew which will be from 12a.m to 4a.m to further limit the spread of the coronavirus virus.

Penpushing reports that, the National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, made this known during a press briefing on Monday by the Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on coronavirus adding that the curfew would take effect from midnight on Monday, May 10, 2021.

The National Incident Manager added further that night clubs, gyms and others would remain closed till further notice, stressing that gatherings of religious groups and weddings, among others, have been reduced to 50 per cent attendance.

Penpushing also reports that, the Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) added that official engagements, meetings, and conferences should continue to hold virtually.
