Market leaders endorese saratu konibaje as the new iyaloja general of oyo state

The Oyo State market women leaders on Thursday endorsed Alhaja Saratu  Konibaje as the new Iyaloja General of the State during a meeting by all the eight market associations  held at the Iyadunni Food Canteen, Challenge Roundabout, Ibadan..

Penpushing reports that President of the Iyaloja’s in Oyo State, Alhaja Amudalat Iyadunni, while speaking on behalf of other Iyalojas noted that the endorsement become necessary in order to fill the vacancy for the post of Iyaloja general that has been vacant  all this while.

The President i however urged the new Iyaloja to cooperate with other Iyalojas in the State, calling on her to comply with the rules and regulations guiding the new post.

“Work for Oyo State and for those who appoints you as the Iyaloja of Oyo State, remember that you are the representative of Oyo State in Abuja because very soon, you will soon attached to the Ministry of Women Affairs.”

Penpushing also reports that while speaking with journalists after the endorsement, the new Iyaloja appreciated all the Iyalojas for their support, saying that market women should be expecting joy and happiness assuring that  whatever they want will be tendered before the government.

“I have been endorsed for the post, and the next step is for the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, and the Olubadan, of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji and other traditional rulers to give approval for it, thereafter, inauguration shall follows.”

Penpushing reports that, all the market leaders together with other  Iyalojas jointly signed a document endorsing the new Iyaloja at the end of their meeting.
