LEARN FROM PITFALLS OF OUTGOING ADMINISTRATION, CLERIC TELLS OGUN GOVERNOR-ELECT

The Clergyman urged the incoming Governor to meticulously study his predecessor to ascertain why he came to governance in a blaze of glory at dawn only to start “rushing” to complete at Sunset what he could have easily accomplished in the morning.

The Cleric who earlier prayed for the success of Abiodun’s incoming government in the State, pointed out that  that if the new incoming administration could learn useful lessons from the previous governments  he would be able to steer clear of their pitfalls and end up becoming an “exemplary Governor” for Ogun State.

Penpushing further reports that, the Vicar noted that Amosun could not complete road projects in the morning, yet he started rushing in the evening and began demolishing things at the eleventh hour as if the tenure would endure till eternity.

The Bishop of Yewa Diocese, Anglican Church, Rev. Michael Oluwarohunbi,  while delivering sermon urged the Governor-Elect  to take cognizance of the fact that he has been ” chosen to serve,” and as such, should “be servant of all” Ogun people.

The clergyman advised Abiodun to be wary of sycophants and groups who would cluster at the corridors of office for personal benefits, stressing that they were the ones that misled his predecessors with self – serving counsels.

Penpushing also reports that, the  Bishop cautioned  the Governor – elect to use his administration to address the skewed developments in the State and shun divisive and sectional governance, reminding him that Ogun West people are looking up to him to put a halt to their years of suffering and neglect.

The Governor-Elect in his remark,  commended the Ogun West people for their support and prayer that ensured his victory at the poll, pledging to run a “mass centric government”, assuring that, no part of the State would go on receiving State government’s attention to the detriment of others/

Penpushing reports that Abiodun pledged to embark upon massive roads rehabilitation and reconstruction across the State based on the ones the people considered as their priorities.

Meanwhile, dignitaries at the  service include; the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba  Kehinde Olugbenle,  Engr. Noimot Salako – Oyedele,(Deputy Governor-Elect)  Mrs Bamidele Abiodun(wife of Governor-Elect), Prince  Segun Adesegun(former Deputy Governor Ogun State), Tunji Egbetokun(former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly),  Senator  Olamilekan Adeola,  Kunle Oluomo(Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly), Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye (Publicity Secretary, Ogun All Progressives Congress(APC) Caretaker Committee)  among others
