Kastina state commissioner assassinated

The Kastina State Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Rabe Nasir, has been assassinated on Thursday evening in his private residence at Fatima Shema Housing Estate, Katsina

Penpushing reports that, a family source confirmed the sad incident, adding that, the assassins locked up the corpse in the toilet of the bedroom, and that, it was after some hours that the family discovered droplets of blood in his room and a search began after which he was found in the toilet.

Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the source disclosed that top government officials and Governor Masari were at the house of the slain politician, while the state government and the police are yet to make any statement over the incident.

The late commissioner was a former State Security Service officer, who also worked with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja, and represented Mani/Bindawa federal constituency at the National Assembly from 2007 to 2011.

Penpushing also reports that the deceased was Governor Aminu Masari’s Special Adviser on Science and Technology from 2015 to 2019 from where he was elevated to the position of a Commissioner.
