Iwe Iroyin Press Centre food canteen proprietress dies at 67

The Proprietress of the popular Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre food canteen located within the premises of Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital has died peacefully on Sunday at her private residence in the town at 67 years.

Penpushing reports that, the famous caterer, Deaconess Olubunmi Oyebola Lawal who started the food business in 1990 at the secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ),Ogun State Council was said to have celebrated the Christmas with her children, before death came calling on the boxing day.

The daughter of the deceased, Chief(Mrs) Ajibola Aminat Bello confirmed the sad incident on Monday, adding that her mother died in her sleep, and expressed gratitude to God for a life well spent by the originator of food canteen at the press centre.

‘With Gratitude to God for a life well spent the families of Liadi Oyebola and Musulumi Lawal announce the transition to glory of our mother and grandmother. She is survived by children and grandchildren’, Bello said

Penpushing further reports that, the bereaved daughter said in the burial arrangement that service of song and wake keep will hold at the deceased residence opposite Signature Hotel at Saraki Adigbe, Abeokuta on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Meanwhile, the statement added that funeral service and reception for the late caterer, known to have catered for number of dignitaries and personalities within and outside Ogun State  will hold on Friday, January, 2022 at the same venue
