ISLAMIC CLERIC LOSES PHONE TO PICKPOCKET AT AKARIGBO CORONATION,AS EEYO MASQURADES,MISCREANTS FIGHTS OVER MON‎EY


believe his eyes on how the thieves were able to remove his phone from his pocket.

 
He was seen running round to fish out the suspected  thief,after realising that,his mobile phone had suddenly developed wing at the colourful ceremony.
 
Narrating his experience to Penpushing,the victim who does not want his name mentioned said, he realised the missing phone at the end of the programme.
 
The victim who was in the Islamic regalia said he suspected that,the pickpockets must have removed the phone from his pocket when,he joined others to pay homage to the traditional ruler.
 
‘I suspect that,the pickpockets might have removed the phone in my pocket when I joined others to pay homage to the monarch after presentation of staff of office and certificate to him’,he lamented.
 
However, after fruitless efforts to apprehend the the suspected pickpockets, the victim resigned to fate, and declared that,he handed them(thieves) to God.
 
‘We tried as much as possible if the pickpockets could be apprehended,but it was in vain,so I leave them to Allah’,the victim said.
 
In a related development, four Eeyo masqurades engaged a group of miscreants in a fight over money doled out by a guest at the function.
 
The guest in a jeep car was leaving the venue after the programme, when the masqurades and miscreants ran after his car to solicit for money.
 
The guest in return threw out some naira notes to them, which the miscreants and masqurades scrambled to take possession,but landed in the hand of the miscreants,which was to the disadvantage of the Eeyo masqurades because of their height.
 
The masqurades,however,trailed the miscreants to a corner,within the stadium to secure their own share of the cash,which was bluntly refused by the miscreants,hence,fight broke out.
 
It took the intervention of some security operatives to settle the score of the feuding groups.
