Institute of Directors set to celebrate 40th anniversary
The Institute of Directors (IOD) Nigeria is set to celebrate 40th year anniversary with flag-off scheduled to hold on Friday April 28, 2023 by 5pm at the Ballroom of Oriental Hotels located in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Penpushing reports that the Governing Council said celebrating of the four decades of visionary has the theme, ’Leadership and Corporate Governance’ where former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar will be the Special Guest of Honour.
The ceremony will also has in attendance Chief(Mrs) Onikepo Akande as the Chairman, Chief(Mrs) Ife Jidenma as Chief Host, Mr Samuel Akeju who is the Chairman Anniversary Committee as Host, as well as Iyalode Alaba Lawson, Chairman of South-West of the Institute inclusive on list of dignitaries.
Penpushing further reports that the grand-finale of the ceremony has been scheduled to hold on May 27, 2023, which include participation of all state chapters across the country, with a walk by members, health talk and luncheon
The Institute was founded in May 1983 with aims and objectives of promoting best practices in corporate governance through Director Development, Research and Advocacy with over 5,000 members, comprising business leaders from the Nigerian private and public sector.
