Ile-Ife ‘Otokoko’: Autopsy result on murdered post-graduate student, Adegoke will be ready within 3 weeks, says pathologist

The result of autopsy conducted on Monday on the late Timothy Adegoke, a post-graduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), alleged to have been killed at Hilton Hotel, in Ile-Ife would take two to three weeks to be ready.

Penpushing reports that, Consultant Pathologist, Osun University Teaching Hospital (UTH),Osogbo, Waheed Oluogun who conducted the autopsy made this known on completion of the exercise

The autopsy scheduled for 11:00 am., did not commence until 2:30 pm., due to late arrival of the deceased’s family and other logistics, while the  pathologist added  that by the time the result is ready, it would only be made available to the police.

Penpushing further reports that, the deceased family presented a pathologist to be part of the autopsy process, while the police pathologist and the investigating police officer (IPO) for the case were all witnesses to the process.

The  family of the late post graduate student, however, through their lawyer, Barrister  Naheem Adekilekun, said that the family will hold on until the autopsy result is out before making any comment, just as he,appealed to the police to prosecute the case without fear or favour to any person(s) found culpable.

Penpushing also reports that. it is recalled that Adegoke  had travelled from Abuja, his base to lodge at the hotel ahead of  an examination, at Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) Distance Learning Centre, Moro, in Ile-Ife  when he was declared missing on November 7.

The Osun State Police Command after intensive investigations arrested owner of the hotel, Chief Ramoni Adedoyin, alongside six of his staff, while further findings led to a shallow grave the victim was buried, and corpse later exhumed.
