I slapped former first lady of anambra state for verbally assaulting me, says Bianca Ojukwu

The widow of Biafran warlord, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca Ojukwu has affirmed that she slapped the immediate past first lady of Anambra State, Ebelechukwu Obiano for verbally assaulting her, and having discovered that she was  heavily drunk  at the inauguration of Governor Charles Soludo as new helmsman of the state.

Penpushing reports that, Ojukwu made this clarification in a statement, adding the wife of Willie Obiano, the immediate past Governor attacked her and used unprintable vile language on her at the event which was held on Thursday in the state capital.

The widow explained in the statement that, the former first lady arrived the ceremony venue late, and that she did not pay any attention to her, adding that she walked towards her and thought she was coming to greet her, but contrary to that when she got to where she was seated, she verbally attacked her with her voice raised and taunting her

‘Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead, when she got to where I was seated, she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do and using unprintable vile language”, Ojukwu said

“Then, she kept aggressively putting her hands on my shoulders and shouting. While I ignored her verbal onslaught, as advised by those sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrain from touching me with her hands’, she explained.

“She proceeded to do so yet again and went further to grab at my head tie, which she attempted unsuccessfully to remove. As she made towards me, I then pulled away her wig. She held on to her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me’.

“This very act is considered a sacrilege to a titled matriarch such as myself in Igbo culture. It was at this point that I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me”

Penpushing also reports that, Ojukwu said it took the intervention of the former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh, for the former first lady to return to her seat.

The widow and former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain said the former Governor, who is the husband of the former first lady sat through the entire episode completely speechless, adding that, the incident was highly embarrassing to him and left the venue almost immediately, taking his wife along with him.

Penpushing reports that, it is recalled that, the face-off between the two women, caused temporary disruption at the ceremony, which drew the attention of security agents and some guests who rushed in to separate them.
