Governor abiodun extends amnesty period for building permit regularisation

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has extended the amnesty period for people who built without building permits, from Friday, November 4, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

Penpushing reports that the  Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,  Olatunji Odunlami, made this known in a statement, explaining that the amnesty was to enable them regularise their documentation, noting that the Governor had earlier waived off the payment of penal fees in demonstration of his mantra of ‘’Building Our Future Together’’ in the State.

The release enjoined citizens to take advantage of the extension period to regularise their illegal developments, as a way of providing a similar opportunity that is being currently enjoyed under the Property Registration Programme, by those who have built on government acquisition
