FIVE CONVICTED FOR UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE

The conviction information was contained in the board’s weekly bulletin, emphasisng that the convictions were part of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar’s determination to stamp out corruption and all crimes that are associated with examination malpractice.

Penpushing further reports that, the spokesperson of the board, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed that three suspects from Zamfara and two from Kebbi State were convicted for a period of three months to two years.

The Board spokesman said those convicted in Zamfara State are; Anas Abubakar and Sani Adamu, explaining that Abubakar, with registration number 97460821HI, was arrested on April 11, 2019, at Zacas Computer Based Centre (CBT) in Gusau.

Penpushing also reports that, that Benjamin revealed that r Adamu, with registration number 97461276HB, was arrested on April 13 at the LaLa CBT centre in Gusau, while Nura Kabiru with registration number 97451771GI arrested at LALA CBT centre.

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board ( JAMB ) image maker said the judgment  was delivered at the Chief Magistrate court 7, Gusau, in Zamfara State, adding that the board also de-registered 73 Computer Based Centres as a result of infractions during the examination

Penpushing, however, reports that the details of the other two persons in Kebbi State were not available as at the time of filing this reports, just as the board spokesperson also stated that, the board was working towards releasing the results of the examination at the de-registered 73 Computer Based Centres .
