Federal government has reduce fertilizer price, says Governor Abubakar

The Federal Governmenr has reduced the market price of the NPK 20,-10-10 fertilizer provided by Presidential Fertilizer Initiatives,as part of the palliatives measures introduced by Preisdent Muhammadu Buhari to provide relief for Nigerian farmers in account of the coronavirus pandemoc, .
Penpushing report that, Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Mohammadu Badara Abubakar,who is also the Chairman Presidential Fertilizer made this known while annoucing the new price,during a meeting in Jigawa.
“The effort of our President is felt during this testing time we are in our country,as the Federal Government is really doing their best,for the future of our country and even in the agriculture sector as the federal government fertilizer will be sold for the cost of 5,000 only to make life easy for our farmers amidst this pandemic
The Governor added that, despite the constrain created by coronavirus pandemic, the Presidential Fertilizer Initiatives activities continue to ensure the champering availability of fertilizer this year wet season.
“We will ensure that there is abundant flow of the NPK 20-10-10 fertilizers farmers at different level across the all local government and other state that cultivate. Currently the committee is to deliver over 12,000,050 kg bags of NPK 20-10-10 fertilizer tp this year wet season’,he added
The Chairman Presidential fertilizer Initiatives also explained that the Federal Government is also planning to come up with policy that would relief farmers to cultivate their farming even in the State of total lockdown.
Penpushing further reports that,the Governor stated that since the commencent of the Presidential Fertilizer Initiatives in December, 2016 it has deliver significant benefits to Nigeria agricultural season saying that specifically between 2016 -2019.
