EL-ZAKZAKY FLOWN ABROAD FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION, ACCOMPANIED BY SECURITY PERSONNEL

The Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Governor Nasir El-Rufai had after the Federal High Court granted bail to the couple, had given fresh conditions which include the confirmation of his appointment with the hospital by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Penpushing further reports that other conditions include, an undertaking by the defendants to produce two prominent and reliable persons as sureties, one being a first-class chief/emir of national repute and the other a prominent person within Kaduna State, who shall undertake to produce the defendants whenever they are needed.

However, source said President Muhammed Buhari resolved to wave those conditions and approved that the couple should proceed to get the medical attention as granted by the court following advice from Intelligence Services.

Penpushing also reports that, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Department of State Security Service (DSS) have advised the Federal Government on the importance need of obeying the court orders in view of some foreign interests which include the Iranian Government seeking a diplomatic approach in managing the issue.

The lawyer to Shitte leader, Femi Falana while speaking on the development affirmed that the Federal Government disregarded the so-called stringent conditions of the Kaduna State Government before the couple could embark on the medical trip abroad.

Penpushing reports that Falana, a human rights activist pointed out that, the conditions stipulated by Kaduna State are totally alien to the penal code and the administration of criminal justice law, arguing that the agreement is not brought under any substantive or adjectival law and an agreement cannot vary or modify the order of a competent court.

The renowned lawyer further argued that since the secret service which had the custody of the couple , had announced on behalf of the Federal Government to obey the  court order, the so-called terms of “agreements” of the Kaduna State Government should be ignored, describing  it as the height of provocative contempt.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Government said it respects the court’s ruling on medical leave, but also declared that it disagreed with the premises on which it was based.
