DON’T TURN YOURSELF TO ‘LOCAPOL’, OGUN POLICE COMMISSIONER TELL OFFICERS

The Commissioner, who said he has moved round the country in the course of police work, pointed out that, it is to their own advantage if they are posted to different stations, which will add value to their job experiences.

‘Don’t become local policemen, that are refer to as ‘Locopol’, and don’t remain stagnant, and get posted across the country, it will add value to your experiences. Protect the right of the people, and follow the principle that guide community policing’, he said

Penpushing further reports that, Makama also drew attention of the policemen, that, they should realize that, they are employed to police humanbeing, and not a rock, hence, need to interact with them with courtesy.

The police boss, added the need for his men to also work in harmony with members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), and give them respect and support they deserves, as well as to be humble.

‘If you humble yourself, people will also be humble to you. You have no cause to quarrel. If I hear you quarrelling, I will discipline you.  If you do the right thing, you won’t be dismissed. I don’t want rancor .Protect the right of the people’, he emphasised.
