Don’t sells your empowerment equipments, Oyo State First Lady begs beneficiaries

The wife of Oyo State Governor, Engr.(Mrs) Tamunominini Makinde has urged women in Oke-Ogun and Oyo geopolitical zone of the state, who are beneficiaries of her empowerment program not to sell their empowerment equipments, but to used it for the betterment of their lives.

Penpushing reports that Makinde while speaking with journalists after handing over empowerment items which include sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dresser dryers, and one phase industrial gas to women in Oke-Ogun (Saki) and Oyo geopolitical zone respectively urged them to take advantage of the program and not misused it.

The empowerment program, which was facilitated by wife of the state governor in collaboration with local government chairmen in the state, was targeted to cushion effect of economic hardship on women across the state.

Penpushing further reports that Makinde noted that the empowerment was mainly to alleviate suffering of women, and for them to enjoy dividends of democracy of Governor Makinde’s People Democratic Party (PDP) led administration in the state.

“These items might look small but nothing is too small to empower yourselves for the betterment of the live’s and children, and it will also assist you to be self reliance”, the Governor’s wife emphasised

The Okere of Saki in Oke-Ogun axis of the state, Oba Khalid Olabisi thanked Mrs Makinde and her husband for the gestures, saying that Saki people and the entire Oke-Ogun are fully behind the second term re-election bid of the Governor.

Penpushing further reports that, the monarch stated that his people are taking note of the achievements of the governor, saying that the subjects  will payback by voting massively for Makinde again come 2023.

The traditional ruler said that his people will repeated what happened in 2019 governorship election in the state by voting massively for Makinde’s re-election in 2023.

Penpushing also reports that the chairperson of Saki East local government, Mrs Aminat Arowosaye in her welcome address described the empowerment program as another milestone in the history of the state, saying that it will assist the poor and less privileges’ in the state.

The Chairperson however pledged that all women in the zone will support re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde come 2023 as a way to appreciate the kind gestures of the Governor
