The spokesman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said, ”When we are ready for the next stage, we shall carry everybody along”, just as the  spokesperson of the  Zamfara State Governor , Ibrahim Dosara, also confirmed the incident

Penpushing further reports that, the embattled former governor had been having a running battle with the national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) since the conduct of the party’s state primary elections in October 2018.

The Supreme Court, however   on May 24, voided the participation of the All Progressives Congress( APC) in the 2019 elections in the State, with declaration that the party did not conduct valid primaries ahead of the polls.

Meanwhile, days later the Independent Natyional Electoral Commission ( INEC) presented the Certificate of Return to Matawalle of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as Governor-elect of Zamfara State and  has since been sworn in as Zamfara governor
