Coalition of Theatre Arts Associations set for world theatre day

The Coalition of Theatre Arts Associations Ogun State Chapter is set to hold the World Theatre Day, scheduled to hold on Sunday March 27, 2022 at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto in Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that, Yinka Ola-Willams(Chairman) and Adesegun Adesina(Secretary) respectively made this known in a statement, adding that the theme for the celebration is ‘Theatre and Culture: An Antidote for Political, Socio-Economy and Sustainable Development’

The statement explained that, said it is designed to build block for support among coalition member associations, state actors, non-governmental organizations, private sectors, civil society organizations to chart a way for an enabling and sustainable environment for a peaceful, free, fair, credible and acceptable elections in 2023

Penpushing further reports that, the statement the Coalition is the umbrella organization of all registered theatre arts, drum, dance and film associations in Ogun state with over 20,000 distinguished members.

The statement added that, the associations aims and objectives include: to work together for the progress of the profession and professionals and to serve as advocate for the development and growth of Theatre Arts and entertainment industry with members across all the senatorial districts of the state.
