Burial organising committee for late Oba John Ojo appreciates voluntary participation of Towara Benin

The Organising Committee of the tribute and farewell ceremony for late Oniko of Ikolaje–Idiroko land in Ogun State, Oba John Olakunle Ojo, have commended the voluntary participation of Towara Benin.

Penpushing reports that the committee noted that voluntary participation of the body directed by Mr. Marcel Zounon, President of CIOFF Africa (Conseil International des Organisations de Festivals et des Folklores, was added value to the cultural understanding, adding that its proudly appreciates the organisation

‘This act of solidarity highlights the strong collaboration between CIOFF Nigeria and CIOFF Africa, under the consultative relationship of CIOFF with UNESCO, promoting peace, unity, and cultural understanding through the arts’, the statement read.

Penpushing further reports that the statement emphasized that Secretary General of CIOFF Nigeria, Dr. Bonny Abisogun Botoku expressed heartfelt appreciation to Zounon and the Towara Benin Ensemble for their dedication to cultural diplomacy and the strengthening of cross-border friendship between Benin and Nigeria.
