Akintoye warns South West All Progressives Congress leaders working against succession

The President of Ilana Omo Oodua Prof. Banji Akintoye has warned leaders of All Progressives Congress ( APC)  of Yoruba extraction not to stand against the interests of the Yoruba race in the call for succession.

Penpushing reports that, Akintoye gave the caution note while reacting to the meeting of the party leaders, where they resolved to oppose agitation for Yoruba break away from Nigeria, as a country

The group President warned the party leaders to retrace their steps, so that such decision will not turn out to be a regret on their part and to  re-establish themselves in the swelling current of Yoruba thought, Yoruba desire, and Yoruba expectations.”

“It is a pity that in rejecting the Yoruba nation state and clinging to Nigeria, they  have taken a decision which they are certain to regret. My prayer is that when they come to regret it, they will have the courage to change it and thereby re-establish themselves in the swelling current of Yoruba thought, Yoruba desire, and Yoruba expectations.”
