AJIMOBI ‘CONSTITUTED AUTHORITY’ LOSES FOUR OF FOUR ANNOUNCED LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN OYO SOUTH
The results so far announced showed that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate, Kola Balogun won in all four local Governments announced so far, which stated that, in Ibadan Northwest local government, All Progressives Congress (APC )had 8,916 votes, while Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) scored 12,144 votes.
Penpushing reports that, the results also had it that, in Ibarapa North and Ibarapa East local Governments, All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded 5,837 and 6,951 respectively while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 8,083 and 9,982.
Similarly, in the Ibadan North local Government result, All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 17,946 against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which recorded 18,690 votes.
The Returning Officer of the Senatorial District, in Ibadan North,Wole Akinsola said results of three polling units are missing, which include PU 001 in Ward 008 and Agbowo Ward (Ward 012) in PU 025.
Penpushing reports that, security operatives were said to be interrogating the officials involved, while the other polling unit is Unit 019 on Taiwo Street in Sango area of Ibadan, and the presiding officer of the PU was said to have absconded.
However, as at the time of filing this report, collation of results from other local governments was still ongoing at the time of this report.
