2019: I HAVE NO GRUDGES AGAINST GOVERNOR AMOSUN‎, SAYS ADEOLA

Adeola who is a current Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, but now eyeing the Ogun State Governorship seat, affirmed that he has great respect for Governor Amosun, and would not disrespect the office.

‘I hold Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun in great esteem and I will never disrespect him as a governor of my own state.” Adeola emphasized. He also debunked an insinuation that, he was confused and in search of his ancestral root, stressing that he has never claimed another root than his parental homestead

“I heard that some people said, I was once confused and in search of my root, that is not true. I was never in search and I have never claimed another root other than my ancestral home’, he declared.

In a related development, the paternal home of the aspirant came out to affirm his origin as bonafide indigene of the community.

The paternal home known as Isaga community is located in Ogun West Senatorial District of the State.

The traditional chief of Isaga, Lawrence Osayemi led hundreds of the indigenes to Ilaro political headquarters of the zone, to affirmed the authenticity of Solomon Adeola indigeneship.

The Balogun of the town in company of other chiefs and indigenes also used the occasion in adopting and presenting the aspirant as the anointed candidate for the governorship election.

‘Today, we are witnessing the convocation of Isaga sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora to lend our support to the aspiration of one of our son, in person of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ‎this day,Sunday,26th November,2017 at Oba Asade Agunloye 1V Pavilion(Empire ground),Ilaro’,he said.

He stressed further that, Adeola’s origin was never in doubt,’even though his detractors and adversaries call him various names ‎ranging from Tekobo,Atohunrinwa and foreigner,but we know he is a bonafide Isaga son’

He explained that, his great grandfather, Olege migrated from Isaga-Orile,a Yewa town in present Abeokuta North Local Government area of the state.

Osayemi who was former Pro Chancellor Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta gave insight to the history and background of the community, stating that Ago-Isaga, Pahayi after the ‎Dahomean invasion of Isaga-Orile on March 15, 1862 left the town devastated and there were family displacements, which led to the founding of so many Isaga settlement across Yewa,Abeokuta and Agbonjedo in the Republic of Benin.

On Adeola governorship ambition, his kinsmen‎ said he is sufficiently equipped for the office having served in all facets of governance relevant to the position.

‘By this gathering today, we have unanimously shown our unflinching support for our son, who is aspiring for the exalted position of the Governor of Ogun State come 2019’,he said.

Osayemi used the occasion to tell everyone to go home and mobilize the people towards the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission
